Terms of Use for SIMSDIG

These Terms of Use govern how you use the SIMSDIG mobile apps and web platform (the “Service”). SIMSDIG is a school management platform developed by Akhmad Qasim and team. Schools in Indonesia use the Service for students, teachers, and education staff.

By signing in and using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what data is collected and how it is used. If you do not agree, contact your school.

1. About the Service

SIMSDIG helps schools manage daily activities. The features you see depend on your role and your school’s settings. For example:

  • Attendance: Records check-in and check-out by GPS, QR code, photo, or manual entry. The school decides which methods are used. The school may also ask for a photo as proof of attendance.
  • Classes and subjects: Class schedules, subjects, and assignments.
  • Exams: Computer-based exams prepared and scheduled by the school.
  • Letters: Requests for official letters, such as dispensations, assignment letters, permission to leave, recommendations, and certificates of active enrollment.
  • Announcements: News and announcements from the school.

2. Your Account

  • Your account is created and managed by the school. You cannot sign up yourself through the app.
  • You can sign in in the mobile apps or on the school web portal. You sign in with your email or username and password, with a Google or Apple account already linked to your school account, or with a passkey.
  • Keep your password secret. Do not give your password to anyone else.
  • One account is for one person only. Do not use another person’s account.
  • You can see the sign-in history of your account. If you notice suspicious activity, change your password right away and contact the school.

3. Users Under 18

The Service is used by students, who are usually 12 years old or older. Parents or guardians give their consent through the school’s official enrollment process. See the Children’s Privacy section of the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Fake attendance, for example with a fake location or another person’s photo.
  • Give false information in letters, attachments, or your profile.
  • Try to open accounts or data you are not allowed to access.
  • Disrupt, damage, or overload the Service’s systems.
  • Upload content that breaks the law or violates other people’s rights.
  • Break the exam rules set by the school.

The school handles violations under its own school rules.

5. Data and Privacy

  • The school is the data controller. Data is stored on servers owned by the school.
  • How data is collected, used, and protected is explained in the Privacy Policy.
  • Camera, location, and photo library permissions are optional. You can revoke them at any time in your device settings. Without them, some features may not work.
  • To update, correct, or deactivate your data, contact the school’s administrative office (Tata Usaha).
  • To request deletion of your account and data, contact the Tata Usaha or email admin@simsdig.com. See the Account and Data Deletion section of the Privacy Policy.

6. Content You Submit

  • You are responsible for the content you submit, such as photos, attachments, and notes.
  • Make sure this content is accurate and that you have the right to share it.
  • Authorized teachers and school staff can see this content for school purposes.

7. Account Deactivation

The school manages the status of your account:

  • Graduation: The account becomes an alumni account with limited access.
  • Transfer or expulsion: The account is deactivated.
  • Your own request: You can ask for deactivation through the Tata Usaha. For students, this request is treated as withdrawal from the school.

After deactivation, you can no longer sign in to the Service. Deactivation is not deletion. Section 5 explains how to request deletion.

8. Service Availability

  • We try to keep the Service running well. However, the Service may stop for a while, for example during maintenance or network problems.
  • Features of the Service may change, be added, or be removed from time to time.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The developer provides the software. The developer does not host, store, or have direct access to school data.
  • The school is responsible for the security of its servers and its data.
  • The developer is not responsible for data loss or data leaks caused by the school’s negligence, misconfiguration, or failure to keep its servers secure.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use. When they change, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. For important changes, we will notify affected users by email before the changes take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change, you are considered to agree to the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. For complaints about personal data, follow the steps in the Complaints and Disputes section of the Privacy Policy.
